AI Image Upscaler

Make small or blurry images bigger, with crisp edges and cleaner detail.

AI Image Upscaler

or drop it here. Small and blurry images gain the most., or paste a screenshot Files stay on your device

Runs on your device with an open-source AI model (21–53 MB, downloaded from this site the first time). Your files are never uploaded.

Uses the graphics card when your browser supports it (much faster); otherwise the CPU, with large images shrunk first.

How to use the ai image upscaler

    1. Choose, drop or paste an image.
    2. Pick 2× or 4× and the file format.
    3. Wait while the model enlarges it, then compare and download.

    What to expect

The model was trained on real photos with noise and JPEG compression, so it predicts the detail ordinary resizing would blur and smooths away compression blocks rather than sharpening them. It can’t recover detail that isn’t there at all. With a graphics card (WebGPU) it handles images up to about 1000 × 1000 in around a minute; on the CPU, larger images are shrunk to about 400 × 400 first so it stays reasonably fast.

    Examples

    400 × 300 product photo

    1600 × 1200 at 4×, sharper edges

    Small, compressed JPEG

2× larger with the blockiness cleaned up

    Questions

Why is there a size limit?

The model runs on your device, and the time it needs grows with the number of pixels. Larger images are shrunk to the most your device can upscale in a reasonable time, and the result tells you when that happened.

    Is 2× different from 4×?

Both use the same 4× model. For 2× the result is scaled down with high-quality smoothing, which is sharper than a dedicated 2× model.

    Are my images uploaded?

No. The model (about 53 MB for the graphics card, or 21 MB for the CPU) is downloaded from this site once and runs on your device.
