How to use the case converter
- Paste or type your text into the input box.
- Choose UPPERCASE, lowercase, Title Case or Sentence case.
- Review the result, then copy it or download it as a .txt file.
When to use each case
- UPPERCASE
- Short labels, acronyms and warnings. Avoid long passages in all caps; they are harder to read.
- lowercase
- Normalizing data such as email addresses or tags, or a deliberately casual style.
- Title Case
- Headlines, book and article titles, and navigation labels.
- Sentence case
- Body text, UI buttons and many modern headlines. It reads naturally and is easy to scan.
How Title Case is applied
This converter capitalizes the first letter of each word but keeps short articles, conjunctions and prepositions (such as a, an, the, and, of, in, on, to) in lowercase unless they are the first or last word or follow a colon. That follows the common rules used by most English style guides. Style guides differ on details, so review titles that include names or brand terms with unusual capitalization.
