How to use the countdown timer

  1. Enter a time or pick a preset, or switch to counting down to a date.
  2. Select Start. You can pause and resume.
  3. A beep plays when time is up, if sound is on.

Tips

Use 25 minutes for a Pomodoro focus session, then a 5-minute break. Browsers may delay timers in background tabs slightly, but the countdown is based on the clock, so it always ends at the right moment.

Questions

Why didn’t I hear a beep?

Check that sound is ticked and your device isn’t muted. Some browsers only allow sound after you’ve interacted with the page, which Start counts as.
