About version 4 UUIDs
A UUID is a 128-bit identifier written as 32 hexadecimal digits. Version 4 UUIDs are random: 122 of the bits come from a secure random source, and the rest mark the version and variant. There are so many possible values that the chance of two ever colliding is negligible for practical purposes.
