Notes on the conversion

Formulas are saved as the values Excel last calculated. Dates become YYYY-MM-DD so other programs read them reliably. Formatting, colours and charts aren’t part of CSV, so they’re left out.

No. Open them in Excel, LibreOffice or Google Sheets and save as .xlsx first.
