How to use the silence remover
- Choose an audio file.
- Adjust the threshold and minimum pause; shaded areas will be removed.
- Select Remove silence.
Getting natural results
Keep 0.1–0.2 seconds around speech so words aren’t clipped, and only remove pauses longer than about half a second. If background noise is being treated as sound, raise the threshold (towards −30 dB); if quiet words get cut, lower it.
