How to use the find and replace
- Paste your text.
- Type the word or phrase to find, and what to replace it with. Leave the replacement empty to delete matches.
- Use Whole words only so “cat” doesn’t change “catalog”.
- Copy the result. The label shows how many replacements were made.
Using regular expressions
With Regular expression on, the find field is a JavaScript regex. Use $1, $2 in the replacement to insert captured groups, and $& for the whole match.
\s+→ a single space: collapse runs of whitespace.(\d{4})-(\d{2})-(\d{2})→$3/$2/$1: reformat dates.
