    How to use the online voice recorder

    1. Select Record and allow microphone access.
    2. Pause, resume and Stop when done.
    3. Download the recording, or save it as MP3 or WAV.

    Tips for a clean recording

    Record in a quiet, soft-furnished room, keep the microphone a hand’s width from your mouth, and watch the level meter: it should move but not stay at the end. Noise reduction helps with fans and traffic but can make music sound odd, so turn it off for instruments.

    Where are my recordings saved?

    Only in this browser tab until you download them. Nothing is uploaded, and closing the tab deletes them.

    Why is the file .webm?

    That’s the format browsers record in. It plays in browsers and VLC; use “Save the latest recording as MP3” for everything else.
