How to use the audio format converter
- Choose or drop audio (or video) files.
- Pick the format and bitrate.
- Select Convert and download.
Which format?
- MP3: plays everywhere; 192 kbps is a good default.
- M4A (AAC): Apple devices; slightly better quality than MP3 at the same size.
- Opus: the most efficient; great for voice at 64–96 kbps.
- OGG: open format used by games and Linux apps.
- WAV and FLAC: no quality loss; FLAC is about half the size of WAV.
Converting a lossy file (like MP3) to a lossless one (like FLAC) doesn’t bring back lost quality.
