How to use the date calculator

  1. To count days, choose a start and end date. Tick Include the end date if both days should count.
  2. To find a future or past date, pick a starting date, choose add or subtract, then enter an amount and unit.
  3. Results update as soon as you change a field.

Including the end date

From Monday to Friday is 4 days if you count the gaps between days, but 5 days if you count every day you’re there. Hotel nights and deadlines usually use the first number; event days and leave requests often use the second. The checkbox switches between them.

Weekdays and month math

Weekdays skips Saturdays and Sundays. Public holidays aren’t excluded, because they differ by country and region.

Adding months keeps the same day of the month when it exists. If it doesn’t, the date moves to the last day of the month — so 31 January plus one month is 28 February (or 29 in a leap year).

Examples

1 January 2026 to 31 December 2026

364 days (365 including the end date) · 261 weekdays

30 October 2026 + 3 weekdays

Wednesday, 4 November 2026
