How to use the time calculator

Carrying over

Time doesn’t add like normal numbers: 45 minutes plus 30 minutes is 1 hour 15 minutes, not 75. The calculator converts everything to seconds, does the sum, and converts back.

Uses

Questions

Can I enter more than 60 minutes?

Yes. 90 minutes is treated as 1 hour 30 minutes.

What if the result is negative?

It’s shown with a minus sign, which means the second duration was longer.

Can I use decimals?

Yes. 1.5 hours is 1 hour 30 minutes.
